Player Story

Establishing himself at the top of the order for the best part of a decade, Stoinis is the Stars’ second highest runs scorer of all time. With the ability to muscle any attack with the bat, he has also shown his all-rounder qualities with the ball too.

Perth-born Stoinis debuted for the Stars in 2013-14 and has become a vital member of the Stars team and a fan favourite. Having now played 92 BBL matches, Stoinis has scored 2499 runs with a strike rate of over 130 and has taken 38 wickets.

Stoinis has a high score of 147* in the BBL which was the highest-ever score in the Big Bash at the time until the record was broken by teammate Glenn Maxwell in BBL|11. A regular Australian representative Stoinis has featured in 57 ODIs and 51 T20Is and has played at one day and T20 World Cups.

Stoinis is also a member of the Stars Team of the Decade and was the BBL Player of the Season in BBL|09.
