Hilton goes big, Stars heading for WPL Final

The Champions Trophy might have finished but there's been plenty of Stars in action.

Hilton Cartwright registered his 9th century for WA in a stellar knock against NSW, making 171* in a drawn match.

Liam Hatcher took 2-39 and 2-47 in a game dominated by the bat.

New Stars recruit Mitch Swepson took 2-23 in Hobart, in Queensland's 9 wicket win over the hosts.

Victoria suffered a loss against SA which will make it difficult for them to reach the Sheffield Shield Final. Scott Boland was the pick of the bowlers with 4-53 and 3-69 whilst Campbell Kellaway was very promising with the bat making 79 and 77. Sam Harper (44) fell just short of a half century in the first innings.

Kim Garth's RCB bowed out of the WPL finishing 4th in the tournament. She took 8 wickets in 8 matches and will now prepare for Australia's tour of New Zealand.

Annabel Sutherland, Marizanne Kapp and Meg Lanning have finished top of the table and now find themselves in the WPL final on Saturday night Australian time. Lanning made 92 in their most recent match, whilst Sutherland and Kapp made cameos with the bat later in the innings.
