English international Dan Lawrence has signed for the Melbourne Stars as a replacement player for Tom Curran.

Scans revealed a Grade 1 strain after Curran injured his calf during training before the match against Sydney Thunder. He will miss at least the next two matches.
"Dan is an experienced player who was wonderful for the group last season," Melbourne Stars General Manager Blair Crouch said.
"We're hoping he can hit the ground running and we can start to convert good positions in games into wins in the second half of the tournament."
