Duckett fires as Stars fall short

The Melbourne Stars have fallen short in their clash with the Sydney Thunder at Manuka Oval.

Chasing 182, Melbourne was restricted to 164 despite an impressive knock from Ben Duckett.

Following up from last round’s heroics, the English international scored nine fours on his way to scoring a game-high 67 runs.

Captain, Marcus Stoinis scored 22, while all-rounder Beau Webster compiled 20 runs from 16 balls after taking 3/42 earlier in the day.

The Melbourne Stars will now turn their attention to a clash with the Brisbane Heat at The Gabba on Wednesday, January 1.
