The Melbourne Stars have secured their first home win of the season, with a seven-wicket victory over the Hobart Hurricanes at CitiPower Centre.
Bhatia blitz leads Stars to victory
Led by an impressive 57-run (46 balls) display from India wicket-keeper batsman Yastika Bhatia, the Stars secured back-to-back victories for the first time in WBBL|10.
With knocks of 38 and now 57 from two innings in green, the number 21 overseas draft pick could prove to be one of the pick ups of the WBBL|10 season if her early season form is any indication.
Number 1 draft pick South African Marizanne Kapp was a key figure with the ball for the Stars, recording figures of 2/28 from 4 overs, with key wickets including Hurricanes opener Lizelle Lee, and hitting the winning runs.
