Sharma, who was taken with the Stars first pick (Pick 4) in the Overseas Player Draft, arrived in Melbourne after India's ODI series against New Zealand.

Victorian youngster Liv Henry has been released to play Premier Cricket.

The Melbourne Stars will also celebrate their First Nations Round.
