Stars Abroad: Sutherland cool as ice

There's been plenty of Stars in action around the world and in Australia over the past week

Sophie Reid, Tess Flintoff and Hasrat Gill all put in strong performances as the Stars won their first game of the T20 Spring Challenge in Sydney.

After going down in game 1, the Stars responded well with Gill taking 3-18 and Reid (46*) and Flintoff (30*) guiding the team home.

Skipper Sasha Moloney also chimed in with 2 wickets. The Stars next match is on Tuesday against the Sixers.

Annabel Sutherland has guided Australia home against India to secure a semifinal spot in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup.

Sutherland bowled a brilliant last over, closing out the game conceding just 4 runs from the final over along with a wicket and 2 run outs.

Deepti Sharma did her best for India with 2-28 and 29 with the bat.

Marizanne Kapp's strong tournament has continued having not conceded more than 17 runs in any spell she has bowled.

Beau Webster has started this Shield season in blistering form with 113 for Tasmania as they played out a draw against Victoria.

Tom Rogers made his Shield debut in the same match.

Hilton Cartwright was the standout performer with the bat for WA against Queensland, guiding them home with a powerful 66* from just 48 deliveries.
