The Melbourne Stars have added three international superstars to their list after the WBBL|10 International Overseas Player Draft.
Kapp and Sharma headline WBBL|10 Draft haul
After pre-selecting Marizanne Kapp, the Stars opted to take her in the second round at Pick 12.
This enabled the club to select Indian international Deepti Sharma with Pick 6 in the opening round.
A talented all-rounder, Sharma will add powerful batting anywhere in the middle order as well as off-spin and elite fielding. Sharma has played 117 T20 internationals for her country and was part of the recent Hundred championship winning side, the London Spirit with Stars Captain Meg Lanning.
The Stars then completed their draft haul with fellow Indian international Yastika Bhatia, who was taken at Pick 21.
Bhatia, a wicket-keeper can bat anywhere in the order, having opened for India and batted all the way down to 6 for her country. She starred with the bat for the Mumbai Indians in this year's WPL.
The club will complete their list for WBBL|10 this month, with one domestic spot still to be filled.
Current Weber WBBL|10 Squad: Yastika Bhatia (IND), Sophie Day, Kim Garth, Marizanne Kapp (RSA), Meg Lanning, Sophie Reid, Deepti Sharma (IND), Annabel Sutherland
