Stars Abroad: Stars amongst wickets in World Cup
Marizanne Kapp got her World Cup off to a strong start, taking 2-14 from her four overs. Annabel Sutherland has also started well, starting with an economical 0-8 from her three overs against Sri Lanka.
Deepti Sharma took 1-24 against Pakistan overnight in India's first win of the tournament.
Sam Harper got off to a hot start in Premier Cricket with 142 off 116 including nine sixes. Harper also combined with Campbell Kellaway (75 runs) for a 171-run partnership.
Sophie Day starred for Victoria in the opening WNCL matches of the season, hitting the winning runs in final over of Friday's match and then taking 4-32 from nine overs on Sunday. Olivia Henry also impressed yesterday with 40 runs, while Sasha Moloney picked up her first wicket for Victoria.
Tom Rogers was strong in both innings of Victoria's 2nd XI clash against NSW with 90 and 89 and Doug Warren took 2-37.
